Finnsheep Lamb
Lamb is available! Come see us today to select your cuts.
If you want to reserve a whole lamb for our next butcher date send us a message!
Our Finnsheep lambs that do not sell as pets/breeding will be available as meat lambs. As a meat animal, Finnsheep lambs will be smaller than most traditional meat breeds but produce a lean succulent meat with a light delicate flavor.
Our lambs are raised by their mothers on pasture on our farm. Our fields are never treated with ANY pesticides or artificial fertilizers. In addition to foraging and receiving weeds and greens pulled from the farm's fields, they receive grass and alfalfa hay, as well as other assorted natural treats. We were able to peacefully raise out our lambs partly due to their breed. Finns are naturally poled (hornless) and have short tails that do not require docking. We do not band or castrate our boys and they live with their mothers until about 5 months old when they have to be separated, and go to live with their fathers. Our sheep are not specifically fed grain but our spoiled sheep do occasionally receive a small treat of grains. Our lambs are antibiotic, hormone, and vaccine free.
Whole lambs will be available custom cut. The price will be $7.50 per pound hanging weight plus processing which will be as charged by the butcher up to $160 per lamb. Reserve your whole lamb today with a deposit of $100 for a custom cut whole. (Prices subject to change due to fluctuations in butcher or related fees.)
We have retail cuts of lamb available now! Priced per the pound with a variety of packages available. Remember most of our cuts are smaller than traditional cuts found in supermarkets as Finns are a generally smaller breed of sheep.
