New birds are in the freezer now! Get them soon while they are still available.
The chickens we raise are Freedom Ranger broiler chickens; while these are a fast growing chicken breed they mature more slowly than the traditional Cornish Cross, sparing them from the detrimental health effects the Cornish Cross often suffer from. Our birds are semi-pastured in a large coop getting access to more area to range during the days. They do enjoy an outdoor lifestyle in a large pen and we bring the pasture to them daily when not able to roam. They enjoy lots of weeds and vegetables from the farm along with being fed certified organic gmo-free, no-soy no-corn feed. Our chickens are antibiotic, hormone, & vaccine free.
Our birds dress out about 4 to 5 lbs and will cost $6 per pound. All chickens will include the giblets (gizzard, neck, heart and liver). Contact us for more information or to purchase chicken.
Chickens will be processed on the farm in compliance with the Colorado Cottage Food Act as amended by SB 16-058.

Finnsheep Lamb
Lamb is available! Come see us today to pick your cuts. If you want to reserve a whole lamb email us now for a butcher date of November 6th 2019.
Our Finnsheep lambs that do not sell for breeding will be available as meat lambs. As a meat animal Finnsheep lambs will be smaller than most traditional meat breeds but produce a lean succulent meat with a light delicate flavor.
Our lambs are raised by their mothers on pasture on our farm. Our fields are never treated with ANY pesticides or artificial fertilizers. In addition to foraging and receiving weeds and greens pulled from the farm's fields they receive un-sprayed grass and alfalfa hay. We were able to peacefully raise out our lambs partly due to their breed. Finns are naturally poled (hornless) and have short tails that do not require docking. We do not band or castrate our boys and they live with their mothers until about 5 months old when they have to be separated. Our sheep are not specifically fed grain but our spoiled sheep do occasionally receive a small treat of certified organic grains. Our lambs are antibiotic, hormone and vaccine free.
Half and Whole lambs will be available custom cut. Price will be $6.50 per pound hanging weight plus processing which will be as charged by the butcher up to $105 per lamb. Reserve your whole lamb today with a deposit of $100 for a custom cut whole.
We have retail cuts of lamb available now! Priced per the lb with a variety of packages available. Remember most of our cuts are smaller than traditional cuts found in the supermarkets as Finns are a smaller breed of sheep.
